I literally look at someone who knows me and I'm just honest and tell them I'm really bad with faces and names, and if I don't recognize it once they say it, I ask them how I know them or where I know them from. I've been told that this is rude, but it is just the most efficient way to figure out who someone is. sometimes I even realize it's somebody that I should totally remember. it probably doesn't help that I kind of have base blindness and have issues. Even remembering somebody that I just met 20 minutes ago or did everybody that has similar features? Look alike to me until I've known them. A significant amount of time I recognize voices and walks much quicker than I do faces.
