In my personal opinion, this is probably one of the most powerful movies you could watch. And it’s extremely historically accurate. And it’s based on a true story. There actually was a Private Doss that was a combat medic that refused to carry any form of firearm or weapon.

it's amazing, they tried to give him a gun, but he refused. Saved so many lives without firing a shot. Hacksaw Ridge is a great film based on real events.
