There are several things to know about the Lestonia. First, it rests on soft ground. Since December 1994, the wreck has been rotating, which has allowed a part of the hull that no one had ever seen to be brought to light, while burying other parts. Finally, when the wreck hit the seabed, it crushed in on itself because under the silt, the ground is hard. This explains the hole, and it was the seabed that hid it, not the authorities. It's just normal damage when you look at the wreck's condition lengthwise.

The Estonia's bow visor fasteners failed in heavy seas and the entire visor came off the bow, (there is nothing unclear about this because the visor was found hundreds of meters from the wreck!) Water freely entered the car deck, which made the Estonia very unstable, as a result of which the ship listed to starboard and was never able to right itself again, sinking into the Baltic Sea. All other claims are just stupid conspiracy theories and insult all the people who have lost their loved ones.

It’s most likely the bow visor which ripped the hull open, and the hole was news to all of the governments hence why they allowed more investigations, making a big thing out of something already known is crazy
