@Amy:Here is the truth about their ending and why they did not die:
That scene you see where they are buried under rocks, bleeding, and look like they are gone happens in Chapter 234. It is the most painful and heartbreaking part of the whole story. It looks exactly like the end and it is meant to make you think they died, but this is not their ending — this is their turning point.
When everything collapsed and the rocks fell, Varkas did the exact opposite of what he did before. Before, he chose Ayla and left Thalia in danger because he was blinded by lies. But here, he realized everything too late and regretted all his past mistakes. When Thalia was about to be hurt, he threw himself over her and took every hit, every heavy rock, and all the damage with his own body just to protect her. He became her shield. He was the one who almost died there, not her, and he saved her life by risking his own.
They were rescued, both survived their injuries, and they healed completely. That sad moment was proof that Varkas had finally learned his lesson. He corrected his biggest mistake of choosing Ayla before and showed that now, he would choose Thalia over his own life.
The story ends officially at Chapter 320. In the end, Ayla lost everything and fell from grace, while Varkas and Thalia left the palace and all the bad memories behind. They lived far away, free from everyone who hurt them, safe, together, and finally happy. They did not die. They got the peaceful life and love they deserved after all the suffering.
Those edits saying they died take this sad part out of context to make it look tragic, but it is not the real ending. They survived everything just to be together forever.
