@awemama_: I wish I knew this aluminum foil trick sooner 👀 Shiny side for baking, matte side for keeping food warm. Small detail, big difference. #KitchenHacks #AluminumFoilHack #cookingtips #homehacks #smartliving
Nope. Even the manufacturer says it doesn’t make a difference. It’s shiny on one side and not the other because of how it came off the roll in production.

absolutely incorrect. there is no difference.
"it doesn't matter which side you use. Both sides do the exact same job.
However, if you've ever wondered why they look different, here is the quick breakdown:
Why is one side shiny and one side dull?
The difference is purely a byproduct of the manufacturing process, known as pack rolling.
Because aluminum foil is so delicate, manufacturers roll two layers of foil through the mill at the same time to prevent it from tearing.
The side that comes into contact with the mill's highly polished steel rollers becomes shiny.
The side that faces the other layer of foil emerges with a dull, matte finish."
the only time it makes a difference is if you use nonstick foil. the dull/matte side is the nonstick side.
stop spreading this misinformation.
