Throughout the rebellion, Daemon demonstrated considerable military skill and personal bravery, winning support from both knights and common soldiers. His closest allies included his half-brother Aegor Rivers, known as Bittersteel, and numerous ambitious lords who opposed the reigning dynasty. The rebellion reached its climax at the Battle of the Redgrass Field, one of the bloodiest battles in Westerosi history. Daemon fought at the center of the battle alongside his sons, displaying extraordinary courage and nearly achieving victory. However, the royal forces were reinforced by Brynden Rivers, known as Bloodraven, another of Aegon IV’s bastard sons.
