For me, smutty books aren’t the same as corn, but they do still push unrealistic standards like corn, just not as bad. So, it’s a slippery slope. I think you should probably read less smut if you’re with someone, but I also feel like reading it could help give you ideas for your own relationship.

Yall we are so cooked. This is not a blanket rule that everyone must follow. The entire comments section didn’t listen to the creator. They clearly advocate for communication with your partner and how these values are PERSONAL. YOU MAKE THE DECISIONS WHAT EFFECTS YOU.

I had a relationship that I definitely think ended with part due to smut. I didn't really consider it at the time, but I keep it in mind now, Its not a deal breaker for me at this point, buts it definitely a red flag, in that It makes me more wary of other nefarious behaviour.
