@louhibbert: I actually do wish I could go back🥺 not cause of how horrific it was ofc… I’m not sure if anyone else can relate to this but it’s one of the many weird and wonderful things about grief 🙃🙃🤍 #griefandloss #griefadvice #griefsupport #griefrecovery
I miss it being socially acceptable to be absolutely distraught about losing him.

This makes the world of sense. I felt much closer to my Dad when I was in the trenches of grief. He feels so far away now 💔

I feel like when my dad died everyone was around me and I could talk about him so easily. Nearly 7 years have passed without him, and I’ve never felt so lonely in my grief. I feel like I’m annoying people when I talk about him, as it’s been so long now that he’s gone, I dont feel like I can talk about him as freely as I used too; but my life revolved around him. I miss him and I miss the old me when he was here! :(. I just wanna share the memories of him!! I wanna keep his spirit alive by talking about him x

What breaks my heart, is there is so many versions of me, he will never meet.

The original grief is almost easier, because your brain can’t even comprehend that you will never see this person again, and the longer time goes on, the sad reality is something you actually understand.

When it has just happened people give you grace. people understand why you're acting a certain way. After a while people forget that you're still grieving. I completely agree

I feel this exactly. In the first year, I hated the seasons changing. The weather felt different to when I last saw him, events were coming up and it felt like I was leaving that day behind.

I miss being the person my dad knew. He passed when I was 22 still figuring out life. And now I’m settled down with a bank job and a house with my boyfriend. I just wish he got to know who I am NOW

The way you said you don’t want to get further and further away from him actually describes how I feel perfectly I’ve just not known how to put it into words, mine will also be approaching 4 years it is so hard. Sending you so much love sorry for your loss 💕

Their memory was still so fresh. People still thought of them. People saw your grief. Now no one sees it. 6 years later and people expect you moved on. Yet it devastates you every day

The day after my dad died I walked into the kitchen and my brother and I drank whiskey together in silence. My brother passed away a year ago and I miss grieving our dad together.
