@joeylever: Last week we got to see a special screening of @tunerfilm and I’m still thinking about how this film uses sound. It follows a piano tuner living with hyperacusis a hearing condition that makes everyday noise painful and the whole story is built around what it feels like to live inside that level of sensitivity. On paper, it’s a heist‑romance. On screen, it’s really a film about sound and silence, and how they control the tension in every scene. Leo Woodall’s performance is already great, but the sound design turns his inner world into a third main character that’s constantly pushing and pulling at him. What I loved most is that the sound never feels like a gimmick. It’s precise, immersive and weirdly emotional – you’re not just watching the plot unfold, you’re hearing the pressure, the fear and the focus from the inside.
