I absolutely hate the photos app. Half my time is spent looking for photos. What’s worse is there is no custom sort option and the date stamp sorting drives me mad.

It’s because the metadata of the photo is preserved probably, so it’ll be where the date of the photo was originally taken, but it’ll be in your recently saved because you just saved it. It’s not just an issue with iOS Photos, iirc Google Photos does the same thing, but I understand the frustration lol

this is an issue with literally every os? the pic had a date saved and it’s simply in the main library but in the date it was taken
