People think the $3-$6 delivery fee they pay goes to us so they dont tip. The delivery fee goes to Door Dash. We dont get that at all.

While I have a problem with tipping culture in general, tipping DoorDash drivers is not included in that. If I am wanting my food delivered rather than having to go pick it up myself, that is a LUXURY and I should tip accordingly. That said, I don’t believe that tipping should be done prior to delivery, but after instead.

When you order with DoorDash, the food is upcharged. They tackle on multiple fees and expect us to tip you guys a decent amount. we're both getting screwed over. just like you, choose to doordash.We choose to use the service we both know what we're getting into and we both have a choice

i’m not saying that people shouldn’t tip because I’m a big tipper, but you see these things before you take the order do you not ? also the company that you work for increases the prices so by the time the food selected and put in the cart and you have all their fees& this and that it looks like you’re paying almost another 15 $20 in service fees.. to me it’s more of an issue the company that you’re working for because if they didn’t have all those service fees that they clearly don’t give you I’m sure more people would tip properly.

Rule number 1 of Doordash. Never assume there's a tip at the end. There are ppl out there that truly don't give a fuck about your efforts. Accept or decline the original bid 😁

Girl this is why me and my wife tip before and again after 😭 it makes me so sad we are privileged enough to be able to afford to door dash so why NOT tip someone for their time? I always do a $10 tip then $10-20 after 😭😭😭

I think as a driver that we should have the option to block ANY customer for any reason. It just just be a button. I also think that customers should also be able to block a driver the same way. It doesn’t matter why but it should be an option.

ppl making excuses for not tipping… YOU COULD JUST NOT EMPLOY THEIR SERVICE!!!! if i can’t tip at least 15% (on delivery, 20% on sit down or other services, those are my BAD service tips…) then i don’t buy that service… i get it myself or i have food at home 🙄 you get it queen! i see you! 💖

There's a quick solution for this, doordash should have an automatic tip within their fee for the driver, but as everywhere else, DoorDash doesn't care about the driver, they care about ther bottom line .

I live alone and don’t drive so I appreciate all of the people who deliver my groceries and food orders. I always tip well and sometimes add extra after they deliver. I recently had hip replacement surgery and the dashers were all awesome during my recovery by bringing my groceries in and putting them on my dining room table so I didn’t have to go outside and try to bend down to pick them up.

If you stay with it long enough you will be able to know not to take certain orders. I delivered to a college once. Never again. You can decline the orders that don’t make sense.

My husband does DoorDash on the weekend. He makes $200 in 4-5 hours. It has nothing to do with tips. It has to do with DoorDash. Your pay should be at least $1 per mile. Of that $200, $15 goes back to gas.
