Kampala the city on 7 hills is the Capital and largest city of Uganda. The city of over 3 million people it seats on the northern end of Lake Victoria. I was so sure I would easily interact as I thought this being East Africa it is equally swahili speaking. It actually is not swahili speaking. I have visited this city twice and on both occasions on assignment of the Arab Development Bank(AdB). This city has life and is so busy. It like most African cities is fast changing and if you skip 5 years without visiting the city you might miss your way around the city. As per my custom when I got to Kampala I went to the largest market in the city Owino Market. Boy it is huge and typical of African markets, how, crowded, chaotic, noisy and just beautiful African energy. The marker has over 20 exits and each is swarmed with human traffic. You can get any merchandise and goods in Owino. Kampala is alot like Dar es salaam, Kigali and Kinshasa. The food, music and culture is very bantu. I took it upon myself the second time to visit the historic Makerere University which is built on one of the 7 seven hills. The city has since expanded beyond the 7 hills. Be sure to sample Matooke. It's best enjoyed from the restaurants around Kyengera. The city never sleeps and Kampala traffic requires you have a good rest before you drive around the city. This is one great African city that has just discovered oil and gas. Expect property prices to sky rocket in the next few years.#kampala_tiktokers #uganda #ugandatiktok #ugandatiktok🇺🇬 #ugandanstiktok
