I remember finding out that love wasn’t actually what it was like in the movies and that I would never have the kind of love that happens in movies and it literally like crushed my whole world

This is why Elementary is one of my favourite series because the 2 mains never form a romantic bond, even tho there is a deep love and respect for each other. Most shows always end up putting the leads into a couple, Bones, The Mentalist, Fringe, etc.

YES!!! This is what I teach my daughters to look out for. My eldest and her husband work to make the romantic goals to be balanced between them and they are very happy. She is successful in business and says she stays with him because she wants to not to rely on him.
