One of the biggest issues with factory glow plugs is the tip/pin can eventually fail and fall into the cylinder, which can lead to catastrophic engine damage. You’ve got 2 options: • Stay on top of glow plug maintenance and replacement intervals • Or remove them completely so they can never fail If you live in a super cold area, you can still safely operate the truck by plugging it in overnight using the factory block heater cord or simply keeping up with regular glow plug maintenance.
