I have seen these videos forever, and every time I got on an airplane I have to sit in the aisle because my daughter sits at the window because of air sickness and none of those arms come up. I even asked stewardess to help me and she said they don't move because we both looked under the arm and there's nothing there and this is Delta

You don’t fly much if you think all arm rests can be raised… many can, but it depends on the aircraft and airline… I fly hundreds of times a year and I promise all cannot.

I always open this one and the one connecting the middle seat so the person who sitting in the middle can get in easier during boarding! I also lift it up after we land as well!
