I dont think Kai is really hole simply possessing Ai Coleman he's more like a proxy or a puppet created by hole to carry out his goals of attaining a real body, Mainly due to the fact that Kai had favorites like Dokuga and his somewhat more humane actions like giving Dokuga a headpat, giving Ton a burger, further differentiates him from hole. Who had zero regard for sorcerers and was willing to trick Caiman and kill him the moment he acquired a devil tumor instead of hearing him out. the final evidence of that is when caiman meets the him and Ai, Kai tells Caiman that the hole cant push him around anymore clearly showing disdain to hole and suggesting he was really more of a prisoner of the entity than anything.
