I rarely use soap on my cast iron. I put water in and boil it after I’m done cooking. Clean it up, rinse it, re-oil. Done.

PSA it’s safe to occasionally wash your cast iron with soap and water!!! Modern soaps do not contain lye which is what ruins the seasoning. Just reseason after washing

maybe someone already mentioned this but you can clean them by using a scouring brush, kosher salt and oil and putting them in the oven at 500 for a minute, also he’s dumb because even if it rusted you can still do that and reverse the rust.
