The Tiktok algorithm just shows you videos similar to videos you've interacted with or watched all the way through, so it just comes down to what content each person is interacting with the most is the content they'll see the most

yes, but the algo is real, sometimes it pushes your videos, or not at all. At times I never get my favourite creators on my fyp even tho' I check their pages regularly. and it can be like that for months. their views also get low. but then when they do get to my fyp those videos usually have far better engagement.

Don’t be naive everyone it is no coincidence that creators underperform anytime they try to speak on the issues in our world and your country shadow banning is a very real thing but yeah in general some creators who aren’t speaking up about stuff are just underperforming because people aren’t interested

You are 100% correct, not every video is a hit. But as someone who used to work for TikTok, shadow banning is absolutely a thing. 💔 Stops pushing your video out when certain criteria is met.
