My daughter has level 1 and I used to give her sensory toys to fixate on during moments like these when she was younger. I also have autism and anything to focus my senses on would help me calm down too

My daughter is autistic and i know this all too well. She wears headphones cause the noises overwhelm her. We also give her a step by step play of what we’re going to do when we are in the store and it helps a lot with anxiety of what’s gonna happen when we are there. I hope this helps in any way. You’re doing a great job and anyone who says otherwise have no idea what they are talking about lol
