Potentially hot take - I think the general demographic on FB and therefore FB marketplace aren’t that keen on being able to spot AI photos. I think this is where the AI won out.

I would be careful with the ai photos for products. It re-generates the image of the actual product, so you’re not showing the consumer exactly what they are getting. Sometimes it’s very close but it still isn’t YOUR hard work and art being displayed

I feel like your photos are the winner since they got 9 messages and the AI got 5 regardless of who actually bought it

I think the metric should maybe be how many messages you received for each, as opposed to which group held the final buyer.

I wouldn’t think it was fake, but I would assume that it was not a local listing and more like an ad

Sounds like a one-off. Can you repeat the experiment? Following.

There is a way to prompt the AI to not change anything about the actual item, including color or flaws, but only stage it. Then you can include all the ordinary close-up photos that she details and minor flaws, etc. I don't feel it is fraud when you make sure it is accurate and include the extra photos. It is like a catalog photo, but I grew up looking at the Sears catalog and daydreaming. This in no way diminished your artful eye and beautiful work 💛

Not shocked. I thought it would go this way. For some reason the chat pics make the product look newer. I don’t like that I feel this way though.

The chatgpt photos are deceptive though. They are missing two drawers on the dresser. I wouldn’t waste time messaging on a $600 piece of furniture if they aren’t real photos. You’d still fool the older crowd 😂
