i didn't get to meet my baby until a day after because i had an emergency c section and delivered him at 33 weeks. my husband went down to the nicu the day of and got to hold him before me.

I thought the postpartum stage was the hardest. Then I thought the toddler years were the hardest. Then I thought the teenage years were the hardest, but now I know the adult parent stage is the hardest because when I look at them I see every stage and mourn them all. Oh, to go back for just 5 minutes.
