@jennystojkovic: California just became the first state in the country to treat AI job loss like the emergency it is. Newsom signed the order this morning. Here's what's actually in it. The WARN Act — the law that makes employers give advance notice before mass layoffs — gets reviewed for AI-driven cuts. A public dashboard tracking job losses by sector. Across every industry. Universal basic capital. As in, every Californian gets a stake in corporate stocks and wealth funds. Severance and equity standards for workers replaced by automation. Retraining programs built specifically for white-collar workers. Software engineers. Marketers. Customer service reps. The people nobody's talking about. Now here's the part I need you to hear. This is still a study-and-recommend order. Not law. The protections don't exist until legislation follows. 33 of the top 50 private AI companies in the world are based in California. The state that built this technology is finally asking who gets left behind. The 180-day clock started this morning. People are losing jobs today. #ai #ceo #california @Gavin Newsom
Newson is against universal healthcare and I will never vote for him

If you’re gonna report news you need to fact check yourself. It’s an EO to explore ways to mitigate AI job losses.

We don't want AI. UBI is cool but universal healthcare would go a loooooong way & Gavin is vehemently against that.

I said long time ago, universal income is needed. The relation between job and income is not necessary. People can just be paid for basic living.

This isn't accurate, all he did was sign an order looking at impact of AI on jobs, he's not protecting anything

ownership is the key.
it should be legal only for governments to purchase ai and robotic products and then transfer all that ownership to the citizens who then lease those products to businesses.
The income generated from such a plan would be much more than the cost of the AI products so the government wouldn't have to fund the entire Ubi, just a portion of it.
