my husbands father passed away from Huntingtons disease. My husband has not been tested and I have two teenage children who dont know about this family history (they never met their grandfather). im afraid I dont feel comfortable saying anything about it to them in hope that some day soon there will be a cure 🙏. Is this a wrong approach of mine? thatnk you for sharing your story ❣️. I hope you dont get the symptoms for a long time! 🫶🫶

If someone has a 50/50 chance but tests negative...does that mean their child could still have a positive result? Or would they automatically be negative too?

I always thought I’d get tested at 18 but I ended up not being ready until my mid 20s ❤️🫂 I know a lot of people my age who still aren’t ready and some who don’t believe they ever will be.

I recently got tested and I was terrified to get my results. Fortunately my test came back negative! But that fact carries just as much weight as if it weren’t. I have a sister and an aunt who are at risk and man has that been hard to know they may carry this and I don’t. This disease is so cruel, and it’s heartbreaking that it affects so many people. Praying for you!

Just curious if you think you may want children in the future? You don’t have to answer, none of our business. My daughter knows a girl with Huntington’s who was tested when she and her husband decided to have children. She was positive so they used donor eggs.

I got tested some years ago. My grandmother had Huntingtons. I felt I couldn’t have children if I didn’t knew. The worst months waiting for the tests. But mine was negative 🙏

I started my tik tok page to share my journey I got tested almost 3 years ago I have a cag of 50 I was depressed for 2 months straight but it became my new normal and I'm just living the best life I can plus I think the Huntingtons research gives me hope PTC 518 is on phase 3 I'm been following this pill for a couple years now praying for you from one Huntingtons disease warrior to another I got the gene from my mother's side she died a year ago

You are incredibly brave to get tested so young. They didn't have the test when I was that young and I went through severe.depression in my 30s being at.risk, thinking I was going to get it. My nephew did get.the test and was negative. God bless you.
