My glitch was one night I was doing some yardwork in my front garden and an elderly woman walked up the street by my house alone. We don’t have sidewalks and our street is not on any kind of walking path (unless you live in the neighborhood) so we don’t get a lot of casual walkers. She started talking to me about my garden and I had this weird feeling, like, she kind of sounded like me — something about the way she talked — she was also about my size and had similar hair (but hers was pure white). She started saying things like “you should be so proud of yourself.” And “never stop enjoying your flowers.” It was really the sweetest interaction. Before she left she told me her name. It was my name. I swear to god it was my future self checking on me. I never saw her again.

I owned a gym. I was leaving after coaching 5am class in an absolute TORRENTIAL rainstorm. A guy in a unicycle was riding down the other side of the street in a full suit. I couldn’t even believe what I was seeing so I went to type a text to someone and I said “there’s a guy riding a” and the ONLY suggestion my phone had for me for the next word was “unicycle.” I never said the word out loud. Literally the absolute weirdest experience of my life.

My cousin was addressing invitations for her wedding and thought she messed up. She had two envelopes with the same address but one number apart. She’s from Colorado, her husband is from Michigan. Her aunt and his cousin were next door neighbors in California.

I went back to school at 39 to get a math degree to tech high school. ai met a lady there doing the same (there were only 6 of us). We were born the same day in the same hospital in a town of 150k. Our mothers were roommates!!

My glitch was when I was 13 in the early 80’s back when everyone had landlines and with no caller id etc. I’m at a friends house and her phone rings, me being silly answer it and I immediately recognized the caller as my grandmother. She was calling my aunt and somehow missed dialed by a few digits. We were both so confused because she thought I was at my aunts house and I thought she was calling me at my friends house. Turns out she didn’t even know my friend, did not know my friends number. It’s was the craziest thing.

I grew up in a small town in GA. I got married and moved to Birmingham, UK. A few weeks ago I was helping with a project, and I was talking with another women helping out, we bonded because we’re both Americans. Turns out we are not only from the same small town, we even had a class together in HS. It freaked us both out.

My friend set me up on a blind date with her coworker. He was late for our date because he was helping his mom move into her new house. I said that was funny because my mom just sold her house in the same town. He went on to describe everything down to the wallpaper in my childhood bedroom. Yup. His mom bought my mom’s house.

I had a similar glitch more than 20 years ago. I was moving out of my house and rented a room downtown. My stepdad was taking me and my stuff there and when I gave him the address he said "no way"- I asked what was up and he said "I'm not 100% sure, let's wait and see". We later pulled up to the place and he said "yup, this was my first place too. I actually renoed the attic into a bedroom"- my bedroom was going to be the attic.

Several years ago, my parents and I were in CA (we were from AL), and we stopped to eat at a random Dennys on the way to Tahoe….the waitress noticed the Southern accents and asked where we were from and when my dad told her she said oh my mom lives in AL. My dad just offered up the town where he and my mom grew up- I have no idea why-‘but it’s a tiny town in south AL. The waitress had to put down what was in her hands bc she immediately started crying and said that town was where her mother lived but she hadn’t talked to her in years. She said I’ve been wondering if I needed to reach out bc she’s getting older. This is my sign. I truly hope she called her mom and made amends.

Ok not sure if this is a glitch but it’s def something so I was driving alongside the boardwalk in seaside nj and people are crossing, now you must yield to crossers so I stopped to let a couple cross and I say “ omg I used to work with that lady haven’t seen her since…it was 15 yrs ago her name is sue” but as she got closer to my car I realized oh it’s NOT her I giggled and went on my way about an hour later I’m at a store nowhere near the boardwalk and BAM there she is the REAL Sue, the lady I worked with 15 yrs ago.
