It hurts my heart when people paint over the beautiful paneling. I feel midcentury/ 70’s/ 80’s homes are constantly being ruined with modern, nonsense design rather than being restored with nicer materiality.

My friend in Plano has that panel laying in her home. I really think it’s beautiful and very transferable to today’s look. I don’t think it looks dated at all you can put different types of furniture in there

Everyone's different. I dont like that "woodsy" look, so I would paint it, remove those trim pieces.

I said don’t paint it. I bought a home with this exact paneling in the living room and the previous homeowner painted it. I wish she would’ve left it alone. I grew up with this paneling. It is beautiful wood paneling. Very expensive. Don’t paint it.

I would leave natural wood like that. I bought a house with paneling but it was white washed. I painted that white.
