Sweet and Sour Chicken Sweet and Sour Kitchen🥡🥢 This was so good and I can’t wait to make it again!! Ingredients: •1/2 of a large yellow onion •1 red bell pepper •1 orange bell pepper •3 cloves of garlic •fresh pineapple chunks or canned (optional) •roughly 5 skinless chicken thighs •1 tsp garlic salt •1 tsp pepper •1 egg white •1/4 cup cornstarch •green onion and sesame seeds for topping (optional) Sauce: •1/3 cup ketchup •1/3 cup brown sugar •1/3 cup rice vinegar •1/4 cup water •3 tbsp soy sauce •1 tbsp cornstarch •red pepper flakes (optional) Start by cutting your onion and bell peppers into squares. Mince your garlic. Mix together the ingredients for your sauce. Set aside. Cut your chicken thighs into bite-size chunks, and place in a medium size bowl. Add the garlic salt, pepper, and egg white. Mix. Add the cornstarch and mix again. In a large pan, coat the bottom of your pan in neutral oil on medium heat. Once hot, add your chicken. Cook for roughly 8 minutes (or until crispy), stirring a couple times in between. Remove chicken from pan. If your pan still has a lot of oil, you can dab some of it out with a paper towel. Add in your onion and cook for a few minutes. Then add your bell peppers and garlic and cook for 2-3 more minutes. Add the chicken back in and pour in the sauce. Once it comes to a simmer, turn the heat to low/medium low and let simmer and thicken for a few minutes. Add in your pineapple (optional). Enjoy! #chinesefood #takeout #DinnerIdeas #EasyRecipes #cookwithme
