I love that line that Thomas says next, “you’ll grow to appreciate them when you’re older” such nuance in a kids game, can be interpreted many ways, for the young first time players and the older generation playing since the first Lego game.

I just finished this and will say I have played a decent few of the contenders for game of the year and this is honestly my top one so far. It’s a tribute to childhood, a tribute to the voice actors and actors we have had including those we have lost, it is a story that blends the lore of the character almost seamlessly.

I played on dark knight but the only time I almost lost a level was in the last boss fight (not tryna spoil for those who haven’t finished lol), but like barely lmao
