The 3C label is only applicable for domestic flights (flying within China). For international flights they will only check the watt and how clear your label is. So if your PB exceeds the allowed watt limit or the label is blurred, torned or dirty enough that it blocks the officers from getting a clear reading it will be confiscated.

I read that if you’re arriving with an international flight in for example Shanghai and then fly from Shanghai back to your country they don’t do it. This happens if you have a national flight, is it correct?

Does this include if I cross the border from Hong Kong to Shenzhen via Lo Wu and to Hong Kong via Lo Wu from Shenzhen? The SARs don’t require 3C mark, but the mainland does.

Yep, they took mine and my friend's power bank before checking in at the airport. Mine jad the CC but not the CCC. I purchased a great and approved CCC replacement from China the same day.

I'm so glad that I saw this elsewhere, before I went to China. I had 3 without the CCC, 1 with. I bought another when I was in Guangzhou. 7-Eleven!
