However, the question is, doesn't the doctor remember who he talked to and her response "I never knew we had a patient on that bed that day" when asked if she did administer the medication?
Well, the nurse who signed bridged a professional protocol, but her intentions are far away from being guilty. In real life situations, a well structured forensic investigation will be carried out, including DNA samples.
Remember the innocent nurse was actually active on the computer before accepting the task, that points out to the time of administration, who was doing what and where, possible evidence and witness.
