I've done this before and it is 100% worth the time it takes. I was living alone though so it was pretty easy to keep clean afterwards. But its amazing what a difference it makes in just making a house feel nicer.

I did this when my son was 4 months old on this exact tile and exact manky dark grout. The white grout areas just ended up getting dirty while the areas without high traffic stayed white and that pmo more than the original grout did 😩

Once I thought I’d do this and then I scrubbed the grout to prep and turns out they were actually just really dirty and looked fine after 😅 it was an apartment from the 60s that apparently had never been deep cleaned

girl I did this when I was 4 months pregnant because the grout in our bathroom was driving me insane. cleaned tf out of it but no prep, nothing, a year and a half later it is still looking beautiful since I painted it!!

Lysol toilet bowl cleaner- the original grout was probably a lot lighter - did you try cleaning them? I’ve seen videos of people regretting painting their grout as it got dirty very fast & would scratch/break apart from cleaning - hopefully this doesn’t happen - I personally cleaned mine with the toilet bowl cleaner and was SHOCKED as my grout was a light colour but was just dirty lol was such a painful task though
