The lawsuit stated they paid more than $10.4 million into the policies after being shown projections promising substantial future tax free income, but later discovered the policies were heavily impacted by fees, commissions, insurance costs, and lower than projected returns, resulting in claimed losses of roughly $8.5 million. The case escalated into federal court before Pacific Life reached a confidential settlement with the Busches in March 2026.

He sued ins company over a shady life ins policy that was sold to him as an investment but they lied Abt the details, return rates & fees, he lost 8.5 million. He sued to recoup that amount. It went up to the federal court when the ins company settled for an undisclosed amt. looked it up.
