Snorlax is the forest guardian pokemon. It’s why he knows hyper beam. Canonically as a munchlax it wanders the forest. Familiarizing itself with the winding paths, food sources, and the different pokemon. As it grows it begins to protect wayward pokemon from natural disasters, human deforestation, and invasive predatory pokemon. This causes it to run out of energy very fast. So it sleeps and eats 90% of the time to store the energy.

I love that snorlax was based off one of the developers who loved snoozing at his desk and eating, apparently he was nicknamed “Kirby” because he would eat everything in sight, and is well loved by his work homies. That’s the type of shit I wish I could be apart of 😭 I gave up on game development 🫠

as someone who doesn't have that close of a connection to pokemon (only watched the series a bit as a kid) as most of you guys, I struggle with finding a fav pokemon because 1. they're all very cute 2. some have very sad back stories and how can you possibly pick and choose. but Cubone has a special place in my heart. I think I've liked him since I was a kid. something about that little fella makes me wanna root for him extra extra 😭☺️
