@health_in_motion37: Living with shoulder pain since you were a teenager is frustrating, and it’s easy to believe that things will never improve. For years, I thought chronic pain was just something I had to live with—until I realized I wasn’t broken; I was just missing a few crucial steps in my training. If you’ve dealt with chronic shoulder injuries like I have, the secret isn’t just resting it or avoiding certain movements forever. It’s about actively rebuilding the joint. Here is what actually moves the needle: Building True Stability: It’s not just about how much weight you can push; it’s about how well you can control it. Training your stabilizing muscles (especially around the scapula) gives your shoulder joint a solid, secure foundation to move from, preventing the joint from slipping into vulnerable positions. Mastering Rotation: The shoulder is a ball-and-socket joint designed to move in multiple directions. If you only train straight up and down or push and pull, you are neglecting its core function. Training controlled internal and external rotation strengthens the rotator cuff and builds resilience through your entire range of motion. Balancing the Musculature: Most of us spend our lives hunched forward, and we compound the issue by overtraining the “mirror muscles” (chest and front delts). You have to balance the joint by putting serious work into your back, rear delts, and the smaller stabilizers. This pulls your shoulders back into proper alignment and relieves the constant tension on the front of the joint. There is no overnight fix for years of shoulder pain, but if you focus on stability, rotation, and muscular balance, you can rebuild your shoulders to be stronger and more capable than ever. #shoulders #injuries #pain
