55 next year. I'm taking everything accepting the 40% hit after my 25%. No point in saving for retirement when you're physically incapable. Spend while you're young. Enjoy your hard earned. Annuity is useless for most people. Pay off your mortgage, loans and other finances. Don't rent.

If your final figure is low you can apply for pension credit to pay for rent , council tax etc .

I'll be fine 😳 mortgage paid at 44.. Police lifetime pension paid for 15 years.. another private pension projected at 180k. Lifetime NHS pension paid for 20 years. Plus stocks and shares with 145k in and cash savings og 60k. Plus state pension

Just to clarify - this data was taken from 2024/2025. The state pension increased to £1045 as of April 2026. The point of the video still stands though.
