@its.anya.lacey: I don’t think we truly talk enough about what being alone for a long time actually does to you. At first it feels peaceful and productive, you do your own thing, enjoy your freedom, get comfortable in your routines. But after a while, I started noticing it showing up everywhere… while doing chores around the house, relaxing on the couch, getting work done, even little moments that should feel normal started feeling quieter than they used to. You get so used to independence that you forget humans probably weren’t built to go through everything completely solo. I’m still happy with my life, but I think I’m realizing there’s a difference between enjoying your own company and never letting anybody into it.
