TRINI FOOD HAS FINALLY LANDED IN SAC! One of my best friends is Trini and I always loved his moms cooking, so you can imagine how hyped I was when @The Trini Table opened! They’re a shared kitchen space near the Arden area with a couple of tables if you want to dine in. What we ordered: - Doubles ($4): Fried flat bread topped with curried chickpeas, tamarind sauce, and pepper sauce. The sauces really brighten the flavor and I love the sweet tanginess they add! - Barbecue Chicken Plate ($20): BBQ chicken, yellow rice, macaroni pie, potato salad, callaloo. Recommend if you want to try a lil bit of everything! Also GET THE MACARONI PIE. It’s creamy and cheesy, despite having so much structure! This is also the reason why I hate soupy Mac and cheese - Curried Goat w/ Buss Up Shut Roti ($23): Curry comes with your choice of protein, roti (either buss up shut or dhalpuri), and curried chickpeas/potatos. Loved that the goat had very little gameyness! - Rum Sponge Cake ($5): Sooo moist and delicious. Not too much rum either, which is how I prefer it (surprisingly) - Sorrel ($5): Refreshing sweet and tangy hibiscus drink - Mauby ($5): Sweet at first with flavors of cinnamon/cloves but bitter at the end! Not as bitter as bittermelon, but too bitter for me LOL - Ginger Beer ($5): Fresh Ginger, sugar, and lemon. Perfect for the hot weather! 📍 1120 Fulton Ave N, Sacramento, CA 95825 #sacramentotiktok #sacramentofoodie #sacramentofood #saceats #sacramentoeats, new Sacramento restaurant, Caribbean food, Trinidadian food, black owned business Sacramento
