I was an absolute hater of barrel jeans. I have a wide hips and a smaller waist, tried them on and was instantly in love. I have the drawstring version though which are so much better than the button zipper version.

My mom has super wide hips so most wide leg jeans look more like straight leg jeans on her because they hug her hips a lot and don’t get looser until her knees. She started buying barrel jeans and the way they’re designed looks like true wide leg pants and complement her body shape so well. Btw she’s a size 14 and they look fantastic on her

as someone who loves the Levi’s 560 which are now discontinued barrel jeans are the closest to them! but also as someone with thick thighs and tummy they also don’t look like barrel jeans on me
