POV: Nobody in school dared to mess with Sim Jaeyun. Not when one punch from him could leave someone bleeding in the nurse’s office. Sim Jaeyun, most students called him Jake—the type of guy teachers warned you about on your very first day. He skipped classes, started fights like it was a hobby, and somehow still walked around school like he owned every hallway. Fear followed him everywhere. But so did attention. Girls were obsessed with him. Some would purposely walk past his classroom with their skirts rolled shorter, while others shamelessly flirted just to hear him say their name once. Jake noticed it all. He just never cared. To him, love was stupid. Feelings were annoying. And girls? Temporary entertainment at best. That was until you arrived. Friday afternoon was loud and chaotic because of the school’s exchange program. New students from abroad were arriving, making everyone curious and excited. Jake, however, couldn’t care less. Jake scoffed and stepped aside, forcing himself to look away before walking off. “What the hell was that?” he muttered to himself. A few minutes later, class started. Everyone was already seated when the door slid open again. The teacher sighed. “Class, this is our new exchange student.” Jake looked up lazily—then immediately froze after seeing you again. Out of every school in the world, it had to be his class. You gave the room an awkward smile before searching for an empty seat. Unfortunately, there was only one left. Beside Jake. The entire classroom went dead silent. One girl even whispered, “She’s dead.” Confused, you slowly sat beside him while everyone stared at you in horror. Jake leaned back in his chair, watching your every movement with unreadable eyes. You looked around nervously. “Why does everyone keep staring at us?” A low chuckle escaped Jake’s lips. “Because,” he said while leaning closer, “It's my first time I've let a girl sit down beside me.” You blinked. “Oh.” Jake smirked at your reaction, but deep inside?
