@padi: Have you ever considered coldwater diving? Heather Pearce shows us how she stays warm even in freezing water temps 🥶 "Everyone retains heat and reacts to cold temperatures differently. I personally get cold extremities easily because I have Raynaud’s syndrome. So, even being diligent on layers, after a 40 minute dive in zero degree water, my hands are COLD! At a minimum for cold water diving you should be wearing: 1. A base layer made of a thin sweat wicking material. I added an additional base layer and pair of socks during my last Antarctic dives as the water temperature was sitting at or below zero degrees. 2. A thermal undersuit 3. Trilaminte or neoprene drysuit 4. Minimum 7mm neoprene hood 5. Dry gloves and liners This is what I was wearing during this expedition but there are so many options available including integrated heated undergarments, I have just not had the chance to try them out yet! The key is trying out lots of combinations so you know what keeps you warm." Are you interested in dry suit diving? Visit our 🔗 in bio to learn more! 🎥✍️ IG 'heddybythesea'
