My daughter was born with Pierre robin syndrome, she’s called Allie 💕 she got her tracheostomy when she was 4 months. 18 months old now and it has changed her life massively 💖

With Pierre Robin syndrome, the lower jaw doesn't fully develop, right? I’m a medical student and am only familiar with the typical presentation in babies—where the chin is set very far back—so I wanted to ask if that corrects itself over time or how the chin is brought to the proper position. I’m really just curious; your jaw looks great, and I’m wondering if it was surgically adjusted and why your tongue still blocks your airways. Is the tracheostomy necessary because the tongue is blocking the airways or are the airways not fully developed? I think you are very strong and admirable!

American here and I am forever in love with yours and how it looks like a choker necklace. I wish we could get this kind of a set up here instead of those hideous bulky ones that stand out! Then the majority of them have some type of HME sticking out even more. I love this, and I love that you educate others with this platform all about them!

I have a question that I’ve not seen yet and excuse my ignorance but how does it affect your sense of smell if your airflow is primarily through your trach?

May I ask how you wash your hair? Cause I’ve got a trach and I sit down in the shower and bend forward but my hips aren’t that great so I can image it’s not a very durable method
