make sure you waterproof the outside of your concrete. I work in commercial construction management. im not sure your experience but concrete is very porous so you need vapor barrier where your concrete is below grade or water will seep through

A French drain with the grade change will do. I’m an irrigation foreman, I’ve done a similar job for someone.

Don’t pour your slab on just that ground, use a layer of pea gravel then tamper it so it’s compacted and on top of that use 2 inch insulation foam sheets all over, additionally you can add fibre to your concrete or lay down a mesh if you want it stronger and you won’t need more than 3.5 inches or 4 if you just pour on top of insulation , for the pony walls on the sides if your doing it yourself no problem, but if your paying someone to form and pour it, be careful because here in Canada I’ve seen a lot of shotty work when it comes to walls.

Architect here. Adding insulation beneath the concrete slab will help keep the floor from getting cold. Studies show you show add 8 inches for max insulation but you could do a couple inches.

Go three feet for the pad, but go a little deeper and put in a sump pump with a float switch and a drain. That way if water does get in it goes to the drain and out with the pump

Laid drain tile on top of P gravel along the concrete wall draining towards the back wall and then cover the drain tile with more P gravel. It keeps the drain tile from clogging with mud and it helps drain the water away from your concrete structure.
