@mylenetax: Every painting starts with a pencil. I always sketch everything out first. working out the composition, the proportions, where the light comes from. Only when that feels right do I move on to the underpainting. That’s what you’re seeing here. This stage is honestly one of my favorites. One tone, no color, no distractions. Just figuring out the light and shadow before anything else gets added. It forces you to really look at what you’re making. This piece has been in my head for a while. Still a long way to go, but getting here already feels like something. #oilpainting #artstudio #painting
