I’ve stopped hoping they will understand. I know people by now, and I know they could never do the same for me. Once, when I tried to open up to a friend, she kept interrupting me with jokes, I knew she was just trying to cheer me up, but in that moment, I just needed to vent. So, I stopped talking right then and there, and I’ve crawled into my shell ever since. Yet, I keep offering my support and my shoulder to anyone who needs it. A tiny part of me still hopes that one day someone will come along who can truly listen to my words, or even just sit beside me in silence. A shoulder to rest my forehead on when everything gets to be too much. My person, basically. But sometimes I think that’s nothing but a utopia😞💔
