I don’t know, something tells me this spin-off won’t be nearly as popular as the main show. At the end of the day, it was the characters that carried The Boys. Guys like Karl Urban, Antony Starr, and Homelander could literally carry entire episodes by themselves. But here, that’s kinda missing. And honestly, I never really liked how Soldier Boy was written either. Back in season 3, Noir’s flashbacks made him look like this brutal, unstable psycho who could beat someone half to death for no reason. But in the newer seasons, especially season 5, almost all of that is gone. Feels like they completely changed the way they write the character now. Human writers discovering inconsistency after five seasons of corporate franchise milking. A timeless tradition.
