@deanna_art: One of the hardest things in realism isn’t what you add. It’s what you leave out. When a reference photo loses detail, you don’t always need to invent it. Focus less on edges, and focus more on shapes. In this tattoo, the goal wasn’t to define every petal. It was to create that soft, painterly feel while maintaining the shape and focus of the flower.
