I’m worried that I’m now 72 1/2 years old. My current shepherd is 4 1/2, having lost my oldest in January (on my birthday of all days!). I never want to be without one, but I’m frightened that I’m getting too old. I know that they are much easier to train from 2 months old, but I’m afraid I’m getting too old. Also, I don’t want to get another before I lose my current one for various reasons. I know my daughter or son would take him if anything happened to me. Although im not against adopting a shelter dog, they can come with problems that that I could have not thought twice about 10 years ago. Am I too old?
