When I had a STP and had a rust bloom, I bought a 10ft inflatable Intex pool to use as a liner. It was nice. Used it like that for about 4yrs until last year when I got rid of my STP and bought the pink intex pool.

Its leaking because you cut an X and left the tabs hang out . Next time use a few layers of cardboard to hold the liner against the wall and cut a circle hole the right size or slightly tight . This is the best way . Also you want a rubber gasket on both sides and a cork gasket under the nut so the rubber doesnt bind up and oush out .

Where did you get that rubber band thing I use big zip ties but I like that idea better. It looks like it stays better.

You can expand it with galvanised square steel and screws you borrowed from auntie, then use some eco friendly wood and some wall soft pads.

id just silicone between the liner and inside of the tank, then you know there isnt water leaking under the inside of the liner where you cant see it.
