Peppered steak 🇯🇲 recipe ⬇️ One of my favourite comfort meals, it comes together quickly and it’s the perfect meal to make midweek when you’re not feeling like spending hours cooking away in the kitchen! Ingredients 450g sirloin steak Salt 1 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1-2 tsp browning 2 tsp all purpose seasoning 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp ginger powder 3/4 green bell pepper 3/4 red bell pepper 1 small onion, sliced 2 garlic cloves minced 1 tsp minced ginger 2 spring onions 1 tomato sliced 1/2 scotch bonnet, minced 1/2 tsp semi crushed pimento 400ml beef stock 1/2 tbsp Green seasoning 2tbsp ketchup 2 tsp brown sugar 6 sprigs of thyme 1 whole scotch Cornstarch slurry to thicken Method 1. Season sliced steak, then let this marinate whilst you chop your veg. 2. On medium heat, sear your meat until it’s brown, then remove from the pan. Drop the heat to low and add your pimento, half your thyme, ginger, and garlic. Sauté this for a minute before adding in all of your remaining veg. 3. Let this cook for 1-2 minutes, then add your beef stock, green seasoning, ketchup, thyme, whole Scotch bonnet, and brown sugar. 4. Allow this to simmer for 1-2 minutes before adding your steak. Simmer until your meat is soft, which should take around 10 minutes depending on the type of steak you’re using! 5. Thicken with a cornstarch slurry and you’re done! #pepperedsteak #EasyRecipe
