I have recruiters hmu all the time for roles and they unironically mention "PE owned" as if that's a benefit 😂🤣

One time at a job we had a company wide meeting about being purchased by a PE and was assured by our execs that nobody would be laid off because of it. Everyone on my team were put on pips the next week.

For those that don’t understand: PE will take a car - and remove everything that is not mission critical. Ex: AC = Gone, Seat Belts = Gone, Radio = Gone, Head Rest = Gone, Wipers = Gone, Seats = Gone, Spare Tire = Gone, All Pastic Coverings = Gone, All Powered Items = Non-Operational, etc.

PE acquisitions need to show growth year on year to justify the EBITDA multiples for a profitable sale. If they can’t grow the business they start gutting costs
