no guys all cars have a way some are just hidden, it’s part of DOT regulations for push to starts, on most keys you push a slot and a physical key comes out

This is something from the daimler-chrysler era when Mercedes and Chrysler were in a joint venture and shared platforms and parts, almost all Mercedes from this era have this feature as well as many CDJR products, I also think the VW Routan also had this feature as it was just a rebadged T&C minivan, minus the stow and go.

i hate push to start. my 2016 Ram 1500 and 2015 Dodge Journey have it and you can’t remove it like yours since they’re both the newer push to start buttons. my 2011 Honda Pilot uses a regular key and i prefer that so much more.
